Slovenian athlete Anja Mandjelic completed the first 2,5 km part of the race with the time of 6:30.07, in the second 2,5 km part of the race with the time of 7:18.62 and completed the whole track with the time of 13:49.3 and took the first place. Russian athlete Elena Kucheva took the second place in Girls’ cross country skiing competitions with the time of 14:04.9 and the third place is taken by again a Russian athlete, Aleksandra Trofimova with the time of 14:17.9. Ayşenur Duman the only Turkish athlete who will compete in 5km Individual Classic took the 29th place with the time of 15:48.4.

Mandjelic: “I am happy that I managed this win”

Anja Mandjelic who won the race said that “I am very happy. That’s my first win on such a high level. So, I am very satisfied. I think it was quite okay for me. I was a bit exhausted uphill. So, I am happy that I managed this win.”

Today’s results of boys

Athletes sweat while climbing the hill up in the Boys' 7.5km Individual Classic competition as girls sweat. Finn Miska Poikkimak who completed the first 2,5 km with the time of 5:50.2 and 5km with the time of 11:35.5 took the first place. Andrei Nekrasov followed the gold medallist with the time of 17:56.7. Finn athlete Petteri Koivisto took the third place with the time of 18.25.9 in Boys' 7.5km Individual Classic competition. Turkish athletes Hamit Aydın took the 20th place and Yusuf Emre 28th.

Poikkimaki: I am so happy

Miska Poikkimaki who win the first place said that “This is amazing. Unbelievable. I am so happy. I started very slowly but felt really good and put more speed the whole race until the end”
