43 volunteers who came from abroad to study in Turkey are among the 600 volunteers studying at Atatürk University will be working in different departments at EYOF 2017 Erzurum. Students who came from various countries like Syria, Russia, Colombia, Afghanistan and Croatia to Erzurum for education will be working at EYOF 2017.

EYOF 2017 Erzurum Volunteer Director Levent Önal stated that foreign students will play an important role in the organization and added “There will be 600 volunteers in total at the organization. Some volunteers started working at determined departments already. Some volunteers will during the organization and some just few days before the organization will start to work in their departments. Foreign volunteers are assigned mostly to VIP, Winter Sports and IT Directorships.

Mohammad Alnajar who is assigned to EYOF VIP Directorship came to be educated at Erzurum Atatürk University and now studying his education in 3th grade at Medical Faculty. Mohammed stated that they are waiting for EYOF 2017 Erzurum impatiently and added “People in Turkey is very polite, helpful. So you do not feel like a stranger. You should definitely come here and know the people.”

Züleikha Dzhamilova came 5 years before from Russia and is studying at the English Language and Literature department. Züleikha is another volunteer to translate at the languages Russian, English and Turkish at VIP Directorship for EYOF 2017 Erzurum. Züleikha described Turkey as her “second home” and stated they are expecting that EYOF will go colourfully and joyfully and are waiting for the guests from abroad.

600 volunteers are preparing for the organization in their departments for European Youth Olympic Winter Festival which will take place from 11 to 18 February in Erzurum.
